Job Summary:

A highly regarded asset manager based in London is seeking to add a talented and experienced Multi-Asset Portfolio Manager to their investment team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing multi-asset portfolios, conducting in-depth analysis of investments, and executing strategies to achieve long-term investment out performance. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management:
    • Manage a range of multi-asset portfolios, ensuring alignment with client objectives, risk profiles, and the firm’s overall investment strategy.
    • Implement and monitor strategic and tactical asset allocations across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and currencies.
    • Continuously assess portfolio performance, making adjustments to achieve target returns and manage risk effectively.
  • Investment Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough analysis of potential investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
    • Evaluate macroeconomic trends, market conditions, and geopolitical developments to inform investment decisions.
    • Collaborate with the research team to identify emerging investment opportunities and risks, integrating insights into portfolio strategies.
  • Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement innovative investment strategies designed to achieve long-term outperformance while managing risk.
    • Contribute to the development of the firm’s multi-asset investment philosophy, process, and product offering.
    • Regularly review and update investment strategies in response to changing market conditions, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Work closely with the client relations team to communicate portfolio strategies, performance, and market views to clients and stakeholders.
    • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and investment reviews, providing insights and updates on portfolio management activities.
    • Tailor investment solutions to meet the specific objectives and constraints of individual clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other portfolio managers, analysts, and researchers across the firm to leverage collective expertise and achieve optimal investment outcomes.
    • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
    • Contribute to cross-team projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the firm’s investment capabilities and overall performance.
  • Risk Management:
    • Monitor and manage portfolio risk, ensuring that exposures are consistent with investment mandates and risk appetite.
    • Implement appropriate risk management tools and techniques, including stress testing, scenario analysis, and value-at-risk (VaR) assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies, maintaining the highest standards of governance.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional qualifications such as CFA or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in portfolio management, with significant exposure to multi-asset investing.
  • Strong understanding of global financial markets, macroeconomic trends, and various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and currencies.
  • Proven track record of delivering consistent investment performance and managing risk in multi-asset portfolios.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed investment decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate investment strategies and insights to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in portfolio management software, risk management tools, and Bloomberg/Reuters terminals.
