They are expanding their UK operations and seeking a dynamic and credible Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead their London office. The COO will be the front person for our UK business, primarily focusing on managing relationships with regulators and investors in London. This role is critical in maintaining our compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations and building investor confidence. Reporting directly to the Global CEO and Executive Chairman, the successful candidate will be groomed for a future UK CEO role and potentially a global leadership position.
- Serve as the front person for the UK business, representing the company in London.
- Oversee UK loan underwriting processes and ensure compliance with FCA regulations.
- Lead and manage relationships with regulators, investors, credit providers, and advertisers.
- Build and maintain confidence with regulators and investors through regular meetings and communication.
- Report directly to the Global CEO and Executive Chairman, providing updates on UK operations and regulatory matters.
- Assist with UK investor relations, including roadshows and investor meetings.
- Support the Global CEO during his visits to London (approximately 20% of the year).
- Strong connections and network within London, particularly in capital markets.
- Experience in investment capital fundraising through venture capital, private equity, and family office funds.
- Knowledge or experience in consumer finance, banking, or related fields.
- Proven track record of dealing with FCA regulations and compliance.
- Experience working with public listed companies.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to conduct video interviews and represent the company effectively in a digital format.
