Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Export Director to lead our international sales and export operations. The Export Director will be responsible for developing and executing export strategies, expanding the company’s presence in global markets, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. This role is critical to driving revenue growth, optimizing supply chain processes, and building relationships with international distributors and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Export Strategy & Business Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive export strategy to grow the company’s presence in existing markets and penetrate new international markets.
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to drive export growth.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform export plans.
  • Revenue Growth:
    • Drive export sales growth and achieve revenue targets by developing and managing relationships with international clients, distributors, and partners.
    • Set and monitor sales performance goals for the export team and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to ensure profitability and competitiveness in international markets.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Identify and assess potential new markets for expansion, and develop go-to-market strategies tailored to each region.
    • Coordinate with marketing teams to develop market-specific campaigns, promotional activities, and brand positioning in international markets.
    • Attend international trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences to promote the company’s products and services.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Management:
    • Work closely with the supply chain, logistics, and operations teams to ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery of products to international markets.
    • Manage and optimize export processes, including documentation, shipping, and customs clearance to ensure timely delivery and compliance with trade regulations.
    • Resolve any logistical challenges, including freight, tariffs, and duties, ensuring a smooth export operation.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, export laws, and customs requirements across various regions.
    • Stay updated on changing international trade policies, tariffs, and embargoes, and advise management on any necessary adjustments.
    • Oversee the preparation of export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and export licenses.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving:
    • Identify risks related to international trade, such as geopolitical issues, foreign exchange risks, and supply chain disruptions, and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Address any challenges or disputes with international clients or partners in a timely and effective manner.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the export sales team, ensuring a high level of motivation, performance, and professional growth.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product development, to align export strategies with overall company goals.
    • Foster a results-driven and customer-centric culture within the export department.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior export role, such as Export Director, Head of International Sales, or similar.
  • Deep knowledge of international trade, export laws, and regulations.
  • Strong track record of driving export sales growth and entering new international markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in managing international supply chains and logistics.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
