Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Director of Quality Assurance to lead and manage the quality assurance (QA) function across the organization. The Director of QA will be responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role will involve developing and executing QA strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving the company’s quality initiatives across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Assurance strategy aligned with the company’s operational and business goals.
    • Establish and enforce quality standards, methodologies, and best practices across all departments.
    • Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Management:
    • Ensure that all products and processes comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, and legal requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP, etc.).
    • Monitor changes in regulatory environments and ensure the company remains compliant with evolving requirements.
    • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring any non-compliance issues are addressed and resolved promptly.
  • Quality Control & Testing:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of quality control systems, testing protocols, and inspection processes for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
    • Ensure that testing and inspection processes are accurate, thorough, and aligned with quality objectives.
    • Develop and monitor KPIs to assess product quality, identify trends, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization:
    • Analyze existing QA processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction without compromising quality.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA) for any quality-related issues.
  • Supplier Quality Management:
    • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure supplier quality performance and compliance with company standards.
    • Establish supplier quality audits and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent quality of raw materials and components.
    • Address and resolve any supplier-related quality issues.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
    • Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of QA staff to ensure a robust and capable team.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and operations, to integrate quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Risk Management & Customer Satisfaction:
    • Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
    • Implement quality control measures that ensure customer satisfaction and address product-related complaints.
    • Drive customer-focused quality initiatives and serve as the voice of the customer within the company.

Key Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a senior quality assurance role, such as Director of Quality, Senior Quality Manager, or similar, preferably in [industry or product type].
  • Proven track record of managing quality assurance functions in highly regulated environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), standards (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP), and regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience:
